The Sew House 7 Toaster Sweater is one of those patterns that you see everyone else making for a while but for some reason never end up getting to.
A lovely sewing friend sent me a copy and it is the perfect top for Sydney winter! Here’s my version:
I made Version 1, in a size XL. I used a gorgeous black Atelier Brunette jersey from the Draper’s Daughter called twinkle which has gold dots all over it.
While I definitely should have pressed it before taking these pictures, I am super happy with it! It’s very comfortable but still looks nice.
All the deets:
Pattern: Sew House 7 Toaster Sweater (Version 1)
Size: XL
Adjustments:
- 2″ body length
- 1″ sleeve length
Fabric used: Soft Twinkle Jersey from Atelier Brunette
Like it? Wearing it? YES and YES. It’s already had a lot of wear – winter in Sydney and skiing.
Notes for next time:
- Would be interesting in a fabric with more body – to see how the neckline and shape changed
- VERY quick sew, all on the overlocker
- Definitely make again
